2011 in review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2011 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

The concert hall at the Syndey Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 25,000 times in 2011. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 9 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

Perpetuum’s1st Anniversary Corporation Tournament

To celebrate Perpetuum’s 1st year anniversary, the DEVS created a new arena island for touraments. You can see the ladder and winners in this thread: http://forums.perpetuum-online.com/post/53853/#p53853

All fights where streamed live on ustream and saved. You can view the videos here: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/perpetuum-dev-eagle

Big congratz to the first year winner, CHAOS. Their prize you may ask? Some very nice limited edition Heavy Mechs; which they get to take home a total of 10.

Also want to say, great job to all those who faught in the event! It was a lot of fun to watch all the fights!

Make way for the Scarab.

Logistics in any game with large amounts of materials and assets needed to win wars or do daily business can be a hassle when you have to haul all your work. It’s worse when you have to haul it all doing many trips back and forth becuase the lack of cargo space.

Well in comes the freighter hauler mech!

Yes the Scarab, because big is back!

Scarab

This big guy has been said to be making its way into game sometime next week. All of the players that wanted to haul more stuffs at one time. You got your wish.

Thanks DEVS!

Intrusion 2.0 expansion / update

Avatar Creations has released it latest expansion / update on 12/1/2011.

A revamp to the intrusion system and much more is now live.

Time to take control or use your outposts that seem to be a little more worth fighting for now.

Intrusions are now more visible to any player that may not be involved with the power corps that hold an outpost.  This viability has been much needed for some time now. Just open the news window and you will find an Intrusion tab that displays intrusion outcome details.

You can now right click an outpost icon on the map and display details about the outpost, i.e. who controls it and details about the facilities there and the outposts stability; which is part of the intrusion 2.0 system.

I will be taking some time in the future to write about these new features.

But for now head on over to the Perpetuum Official website and take time to read the latest notes on Intrusion 2.0 for more details.
